Could you please tell me what’s wrong with this next picture?

four needles

Yep, you guessed it, one needle is missing. After finishing the left glove with five bamboo needles, I dared to take a short trip to the bathroom. It was about 9:00 at night and the kids were in bed. When I came back, I found four needles and a very content Zindy waiting for me.

I’ve questioned her to no end but can’t seem to get a peep out of her. I’m sure the two cats are conspiring and have a nice little collection of stolen goods somewhere in this apartment.

Either that or we have ghosts that knit. What a cool idea!

One glove is now finished and the second one is in the works. These are for my mom but I just love how they feel, so we’ll see who gets them under the tree.

Mittens From Lapland

November 27, 2006

It is so addicting to knit with colorwork….I just want to keep on going to see what the next row will bring…..they are warm, soft and so pretty in doubled Elann Baby Cashmere. More pictures and all the specifics are on my blog.

Advika with Ruffles

November 26, 2006

OK, so the consensus among my readers was to add the crocheted ruffles to Advika. Gee, this has been a complex project. I think I am done now, the outsides are pretty.

Mittens finished!

November 26, 2006

Finished a pair of mittens today! I used up some leftover wool from different projects (all complementary shades in the orange-red family) and it came out very nice. I split each small leftover ball into two, so that I’d have the same size stripes of each shade in each mitten.

I don’t have a picture, don’t have a blog, but someone small and cold will have Warm Hands. 😉

Advika Mitts Embroidered at Last

November 25, 2006

I finished knitting on these a couple months ago, but just got in the mood yesterday to weave in ALL THOSE ENDS, and add the embroidery. The Shisha mirrors have crochet around them, so that wasn’t bad. This is a Misson Falls pattern, with Mission Falls wool.Mitts

Lopi Mittens Done and More Mitts to Come

November 24, 2006

I just finished some quick Lopi Mittens and have started “Mittens From Lapland” from Folk Mittens by Marcia Lewandowski. All the specifics are here.

I think I am on a good mitten roll….so hopefully there will be many Warm Hands this winter!
Let’s hope this publishes and the links work….1st time for me on the new site.

I Give Thanks For My New Mittens

November 24, 2006

My new mittens were finished on Thanksgiving.  Fitting, I think!

Well, I tried uploading that photo here, and it came out the size of Manhattan.  So I guess you’ll have to come see them in my blog.

These were made from the Basic Mittens Kit from Green Mt. Mohair that I bought in Rhinebeck this year.  Sandy bought a “sister” kit with a different colorway.  I’m positively thrilled with the way these came out and foresee myself wearing these constantly this winter.
